Improving workplace wellbeing through mindfulness
On 23 March, we hosted a corporate workshop at OurDomain with 25 participants, focusing on workplace stress and anxiety together with practical tools for improving employee wellbeing.
The session opened with a key statistic: 74% of people feel overwhelmed at work, setting the context for a discussion on stress and anxiety in modern workplaces. Participants were then introduced to a short overview of workplace stress, followed by a 3-minute pranayama practice accessible to everyone in the room.
A key part of the session was a listening exercise, where one participant spoke while the other listened without interruption or response. The activity created a noticeable shift in attention and engagement across the group.
The CORE experience, led by Dr. Raj Hegde, introduced participants to a device designed to measure calm in real time. Participants were able to observe their own internal state during a guided practice, offering a practical perspective on awareness and stillness.
The session concluded with reflections on the experience, with participants reporting a sense of being heard, lighter, and more connected.
